Our ( Marina Viti e Andrea Verni) Shetland Islands photo exhibition will start on Sunday 20th January 2013 at “Libreria Feltrinelli” in Trieste.
The idea behind this trip, in this almost unkown corner of the North Sea, was to experience the wilderness (puffins and seals) and natural beauties of these islands with its endless sunny days, its beautiful cliffs between stormy waves and a lot of sea-birds!
Traveling to the Shetland over the sea is probably not the most comfortably way but for sure is the most exciting! Departing in the evening from Aberdeen with the Northlink Ferries across Orkney and Fair Isle, arriving in Lerwick in the early morning is simply amazing! We have seen lighthouses, islands, late sunsets .. everything surrounded only by the North Sea !
