Sunrise at Edelweissspitze

Sunrise at Edelweissspitze

3798 m. above the sea level – is the highest peak of Austrian Alps. Its glacier is melting fast, each year becomes shorter. Anyway landscape, fauna and flora is unique. With the Grossglockner Alpine Road we arrived at the highest point on Edelweisspitze (2571m) just before the sunrise. Even if it was middle of June we had snow and ice on the road but it has been a great experience with an amazing sunrise ! Probably the best we ever had on Edelweisspitze over last 4 years.
